„Studentenpack“ (student pack) was the insult hurled by conservatives after the Berlin student protests of the late 1960s. Student protest in Berlin — whether for the rights of women, Jews, Polish immigrants, socialists, and others — has a long, rich, and troubled history.
Historian Ralf Oberndörfer (Histox) will lead a free, one-hour tour in English of stud.Berlin. The exhibition — designed by students of Berlin’s top three universities — covers six floors and 200 years of student movements and Berlin development from its Prussian past, through the Nazi years, to unified Berlin after 1990.
The tour is free of charge.
